Allen Richard Tobin

Allen Richard Tobin, 73, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on February 9, 2018. He was born on February 29, 1944, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Richard Tobin and Florence (Leland) Tobin.

Allen proudly served his country in the United States Air force as a physicist, scientific analyst, and computer research scientist. He retired as a major in 1988, after 20 years of dedicated service. Upon retirement he moved to Mesa, Arizona, where he served as Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, and District Marshall of the local assembly of the Knights of Columbus. Allen relocated to Round Rock, TX, in 2015, where he joined St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church.

Allen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stephen and Clara Tobin and Felix and Regina Leland; parents, Richard and Florence Tobin; and father and mother-in-law, Clovis and Elsie Letourneau. He is survived by his loving wife, Francine (Letourneau) Tobin of Round Rock; children, Peter Tobin of Round Rock; Stephen Tobin and wife Susan of Round Rock; Lynn Ybarra and husband Michael of Pflugerville; and Karen Cole and husband Michael of Bloomington, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, Allen, Allison, Sarah, Rachael, Michael, Mary, Bridget, Joseph, Angela, Kristen, Timothy, Robert and Charles; brother, Robert Tobin and wife Shannon of Illinois; as well as, many nieces, nephews, and other family.
