We clarified 3D image of rice mesophyll cell at ultrastructure level using FIB-SEM.

Now we are trying to visualize 3D cellular structures, of which photosynthetic cells (e.g. mesophyll and bundle sheath cells in C4 plants) and any other functional cells.
We clarified anatomy of microhairs, functioning as salt gland, in salt-tolerant Rhodes grass.

Now we are trying to clarify the common function of microhairs in Poaceae (e.g. rice, maize, millet, and other grasses), using various microscopes.
