Congratulations to Filipino-American Westley So 2021 US Chess National Champion. He is currently the No. 6 Chess Grand Master of the world!
The 28-year-old Wesley So was born in Bacoor Cavite Philippines.

Please be advised that due to the extended circuit breaker lockdown, KCCE's chess program is temporarily suspended until further notice.

2021 July KCCE Update
What an exciting chess competition enjoyed by all!
Today, Thursday 8th July 2021, fourteen strong bunch of chess talents competed in the KCCE One-day Marathon Mid-Year Tournament. It was an amazing experience to watch the array of chess skills displayed by the individual players!
Thank you all for your participation and good sportsmanship for making this event a huge success!!
Thank you to the parents who supported their children during the tournament.
A big round of applause to all KCCE Volunteers! You guys are the backbone of our chess family!

KCCE CHESS SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19 CIRCUIT BREAKER LOCKDOWN IN VICTORIA
Hello Folks,
Due to the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker Lockdown in Victoria, the KCCE Chess program and activities in Westfield Knox Community Space and Rowville Library are suspended temporarily today, 27 May 2021, and until further notice. Resumption of over-the-board play will occur as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. We apologise for this short notice.
In the event of a protracted lockdown, we will re-activate online meetings using Zoom and Chess.com similarly to that which we experimented with for a short time during 2020.
We will send out an SMS and email message to our interested participants advising you when we are resuming. If you would like to be included in announcements of KCCE resumption of play and KCCE online chess, and/ or you did not receive an SMS and Email from us, please send an email requesting to be added to the KCCE distribution list to:
