Friends of Knowle Park (FoKP)

Friends of Knowle Park (FoKP) is no longer active and is in the process of winding-up.
FoKP was a local group set up at the end of 2003 by residents of the Knowle village community in the West Midlands.
Local residents believed a new community group was required to provide a focal point & to increase awareness / activities in support of the local Park - a very significant local amenity used by & effecting thousands of local residents & potentially threatened by adverse development plans at the time.

FoKP has charitable status (Charity Commission Registration No. 1123544).
Our major fund-raising activity was the annual Knowle Park Festival - which we ran from 2004 until 2012
(SMBC organised Festivals before 2004).
So far we have raised more than £41,000 for improvements to the Park.

Friends of Knowle Park Objectives :

To promote the protection and conservation of the area known as Knowle Park, also known as Job’s Close Park.
To promote the preservation of the open & rural aspect of the park for future generations of local residents / park users.
