A Czech-American co-production presented by History, the first season of Knightfall was developed and produced by A+E Studios. Dominic Minghella, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Barry Jossen, Jana Bennett, Douglas Mackinnon, Jeremy Renner, Don Handfield, Richard Rayner, and Sonny Postiglione are credited as executive producers, while Philip G. Flores acted as co-executive producer.[26][29] The season was produced by Michael Wray for the first four episodes and Gideon Amir for the last six episodes. On August 13, 2018, it was announced that Knightfall was renewed for a second season.[31] Aaron Helbing was hired as executive producer, writer and showrunner for the second season, replacing Dominic Minghella.[32][33] Knightfall actor Simon Merrells confirmed that Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Spartacus: War of the Damned director Rick Jacobson was also working on the series.[34] The production hired a number of European directors for the second season, including Samira Radsi and Roel Rein.[35] The second season consists of eight episodes.[36]

Mackinnon served as the principal director, handling most episodes. Metin Hseyin and David Petrarca (Game of Thrones) also directed a block each. Knightfall was shot primarily in Prague, Czech Republic,[49] with its base at the Barrandov Studios. Several exteriors imitating medieval Paris were built in surrounding suburbs and villages, including Prhonice, and Doksany. Streets in Old Town and vihov Castle were utilized.[50] Filming started on July 8. According to Barrandov CEO Petr Tich, the studio was chosen partially based on the quality of the 15th-century interior they had previously built for Borgia.[51] According to Tom Cullen, the main cast had a two-and-a-half week "boot camp" with French stuntman and fight choreographer Cdric Proust. Cullen had taken fencing classes in the past, but had not swung a sword in eight years.[52] The total cost for the season was CZK 1.1 billion.[53]

"Knightfall" is the thirteenth episode of Season Seven of ABC's Once Upon a Time. It was written by Jerome Schwartz & Miguel Ian Raya, and directed by Steve Miner. It is the one hundred and forty-sixth episode of the series overall, and premiered on March 16, 2018.

Episode 9 of Knightfall ended with Landry (Tom Cullen) receiving a blow to the knee by Gawain (Padraic Delaney). The Season 1 finale episode opens with Landry still screaming in agony. He is quickly taken away and patched up. While he is still injured, it appears the blow was much less substantial than first thought.

As for Joan, she is also having a tough time in the latest episode of Knightfall. The battle has encroached to where she is. Hearing that King Philip has singled out Landry, she staggers off to find them once the battle envelops the Templars alongside her.

The episode opens on the word "Night" with a red K marked next to it, creating 'Knight.' The image zooms out to reveal that it is the cover for Frank Sinatra's album Night and Day. The album's colors are shifted from blue and white to blue and yellow. Sinatra's eyes are depicted as a very bright blue color, with white pupils, similar to what is seen in the origin story of The Last Son as seen in THE D-DAY KNIGHT RETURNS. The image zooms in on the name Frank Sinatra before fading away to reveal the background.

Is Ivy pivoting to be one of the good guys now. Is Jacinda giving the doll Beatrice back to Ivy a sign that everything is good now between them? Moreover, Ivy brought Henry a box of the best mochi in town, telling him he could be the hero that she needs. Is she trying to wake him up? Is Henry not staying in Hyperion Heights and is just going back and forth? Will there be a love triangle between Jacinda, Henry and Ivy? Furthermore, Ivy said that she was going to finish what her mother started. With only 9 episodes left to the series, where is everything going?

In the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series episode "Ghosts of Mortis," the Son shows Anakin Skywalker a vision of his future that included portions of the events of Revenge of the Sith. One of these visions was of Skywalker raising his lightsaber to strike down a child immediately after a vision of Palpatine using Force lightning, and before he saw his strangling Padm Amidala with the Force just before his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Taken as chronological visions of the movie, and interpereting Palpatine's scene as from the showdown with Mace Windu, that would place this child as a victim of Operation: Knightfall.

Wednesday's episode of Knightfall finally saw Queen Joan's (Olivia Ross) true potential as a leader, as she killed her cousin, Queen Elena (Claudia Bassols), in order to save both her family and her home of Navarre -- but it seems her real battle is only just beginning.

"That was fantastic. I loved filming that episode," Ross raved to ET of Joan's game-changing moment. "It was so completely incredible to have almost Shakespearean, or at least definitely epic, speeches to say to a whole army. That was incredible, to play that strength and to play a leader, really."

"Every new episode, I was like, 'Oh my god.' I felt so lucky and grateful that the creative team judged me capable to do these amazing scenes, really epic situations, and constantly renewing the challenges of the character," she shared, adding that her preparation for the role included historical records, research on pregnancy -- "I haven't had a child," she noted, "So of course you have to research that" -- watching films about love triangles, and reading poems. "You want to trigger things, and awaken things in you... [you need to get to] that epic space of where the stakes are really, really high."

The stakes will only continue to raise for Joan, as Ross shared that her character's discovery of her daughter, Princess Isabella's (Sabrina Bartlett) misdeeds in Wednesday's episode become somewhat of a turning point in their relationship.

"Each new episode is a challenge," she continued of Knightfall. "Some of it is really, highly personal and love affairs and family drama, and others are highly political situations and how the two interact with each other is what makes Joan a really interesting character. She's not just a lover or a wife or a mother. She's all of these things."

In this episode, Adonis has to face Shirousagi alone while trying to protect an incapacitated Doroka. When his limits are reached, the two of them work together through unsavory means in a desperate attempt to survive. And it pushes expectations for the duo even higher.

Netflix previously released teasers for the individual episodes, but this trailer gives us glimpses of everything we can look forward to this season and, as expected, it looks fairly bleak. Although we don't have a great amount of detail on what each episode will entail, we have a basic idea of what each standalone story will focus on.

The first episode, "Crocodile" features a future in which a device is able to access people's memories. "Arkangel," directed by Jodie Foster, follows a protective mother who installs surveillance software into her daughter's brain. "Hang the DJ," the show's version of a rom-com, imagines a world with a service that creates playlists for all the relationships in your life. "USS Callister," a take on Star Trek starring Jesse Plemons, is greatly influenced by "San Junipero," so expect another Emmy nod and maybe win for this one. The black-and-white episode, "Metalhead," is a fast-paced, primal episode with a terrifying robot dog. "Black Museum" has been compared to a "Treehouse of Horror" Simpsons episode, meaning we should probably expect short vignettes as opposed to one larger story. e24fc04721
