What is KMS Tools?

KMS is one of the most popular software activators from Microsoft, including Windows and the Microsoft Office suite. Developed by a user under the nickname Ratiborus. He also created a whole series of similar activators and utilities for working with license keys for programs from Microsoft.

What features do these tools have?

KMS Tools Portable allows you to:

get information about the current state of licenses for Windows (Vista and older), Microsoft Office (starting from version 2010 and older);
automatically activate programs from Microsoft (manual mode is also provided, but only experienced users should use it);
extract the used Windows or Microsoft Office license codes;
back up and restore the license when reinstalling the operating system;
perform encryption and decryption of any user data (using UniCrypt);
create boot disks and USB drives if you have a Windows image (XP editions and older).

How to use it?

KMS Tools Portable does not require installation on a running system. It is enough to launch the program, select the utility of interest and follow the prompts on the PC display. In the event that another activator is already used in the system, the program will warn the user about this. Applications from KMS automatically recognize the installed system, other programs from Microsoft, so you don’t need to manually select anything (although such an option is provided).

The key advantage of the utilities is that the activation mechanisms used do not block access to downloading and installing updates. Accordingly, after installing all the necessary keys, it is enough just to restart the PC for the innovations to take effect. There is no need to disable updates, add addresses to the host file, and so on (as is often the case with other activators).
