I am a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at Sogang University, specializing in the intersection of macroeconomics, monetary economics, and the economics of climate change. My recent research focuses on the optimal design of climate change mitigation policies, with particular attention to their implications for macro-financial stability and long-run growth. I am especially interested in the way environmental policy tools interact with a range of market imperfections. Using both theoretical and quantitative frameworks, my work bridges environmental economics and dynamic macroeconomic modeling, augmented with various types of market frictions, to inform effective policy design.
