The Kabataaan Kontra Droga At Terorismo is one of the active advocacy support group of Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO) under the leadership of PCOL JULIUS C SURIBEN, Provincial Director and a member of the PNP National Coalition of Lingkod-Bayan Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers.
The KKDAT – Ilocandia aims to empower the youth sector through community and school-based activities that would encourage more members of the youth sector to participate in the fight against illegal drugs and terrorism. Also, it is an advocacy group to train, and lead the youth and student sector to become a proactive partner of the government in eradicating illegal drugs, terrorism and other form of criminality.
Aimed to organize a youth movement that encourages and strengthens the youth’s ability in suppressing the illegal drug and terrorism problem in the country.
A nationwide movement that intends to ORGANIZE AND LEAD THE YOUTH AND STUDENT SECTORS as advocacy support groups that will stand against illegal drugs and terrorism through the advocacy program of the PNP.
It is envisioned to inflame the SPIRIT OF VOLUNTEERISM among youth and student sectors through the PCR platforms and programs.
The Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) was founded by then National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Director General ALEX PAUL MONTEAGUDO in 2016 to insulate the youth from radicalization efforts of both the communist movement and Islamic terrorists.
The Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) Project was first launched in Region 11 on November 9, 2018 with the aim of organizing a youth movement that encourages and strengthens the youths’ ability in suppressing the drug and terrorism problem in the country.
The KKDAT program was created under PNP MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 20-2019, which prescribed the guidelines and procedures in the creation of a nationwide movement dubbed as “Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo” (KKDAT).
The Philippine National Police thru the Police Community Relations Group, has launched the program dubbed Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) on February 11, 2019, 9:00AM, at the PNP-NHQ, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City, with former Special Assistant to the President, and now Senator Christopher Lawrence Tesoro Go as the Guest of Honor and Speaker and participated by more than 3,000 participants.
The said project which intends to organize, train and mobilize the youth and student sectors as advocacy support groups that will stand against illegal drugs and terrorism through various advocacy programs of the PNP will soon be replicated in all Police Regional Offices.
The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office thru the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit, has launched the provincial level program dubbed Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) on March 2, 2020, 9:00AM, at INPPO Main Office, with Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 (101st COY).
The said launching was attended by all elected presidents and vice presidents of the different municipalities and cities of the province.
Know your limitations to the police personnel. Always use the term, ma’am/sir or you may also call them Manang Pulis or Manong Pulis.
If you hear something about police works (for example, crimes), always keep it confidential.
Be responsible and accountable for your actions always.
