Overview
KK Notes is built with privacy in mind. We collect and process only the data needed to provide note storage, synchronization, collaboration, AI features, and subscription management.
We do not sell personal data, show third-party advertisements, or track users across other companies’ apps and websites.
Information We Collect and Store
Notes and User Content
We store the notes, checklists, categories, and other content you create so they remain available across sessions and devices.
Notes that you choose to share can be viewed or edited by the people you invite, depending on the permission provided.
Account Information
You can start using KK Notes without providing an email address. In this case, the app creates an anonymous user identifier so your notes can be associated with your installation.
If you choose to share or join a shared note, we collect your email address and display name. This information is used to secure your account, identify collaborators, and maintain access to shared notes.
Technical and Usage Information
We process a user identifier, installation identifier, subscription status, AI credit balance, and limited AI usage information such as the requested action and input or output character counts.
This information is used for authentication, note synchronization, subscription management, usage limits, security, fraud prevention, and operation of the app.
AI Features
When you choose to use an AI feature, the relevant note content, selected text, and your request are processed through the Google Gemini API to generate the response you requested.
AI processing only occurs when you actively use an AI feature. We do not use your notes or AI requests for advertising.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. KK Notes uses RevenueCat to verify purchases, manage subscription entitlements, and restore purchases.
We receive subscription status and product information, but we do not receive or store your full payment card or banking information.
How We Use Information
We use collected information only to:
• Store and synchronize notes
• Provide shared note collaboration
• Authenticate and secure accounts
• Process AI requests
• Manage AI usage limits
• Verify and manage subscriptions
• Prevent abuse and maintain the service
• Respond to support requests
Service Providers
KK Notes uses the following service providers:
• Supabase for authentication, database storage, synchronization, and backend services
• Google Gemini API for user-requested AI features
• RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management
• Apple for App Store purchases and payment processing
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable data-processing terms.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We share data only with the service providers required to operate KK Notes, when a user intentionally shares a note with another person, or when required by law.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your account information and notes are stored while your account remains active.
You can permanently delete your account and associated data from the Profile screen inside the app. Some service providers may retain limited transaction or security records when required by law or for fraud prevention.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no internet-based storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
KK Notes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when KK Notes features or data practices change. The latest version and update date will always be published on this page.
