Hybrid

Official Description

This collaboration is a hybrid of electronic and metal genres, imagining how two relatively disconnected genres could (somewhat poorly) combine, hence the name Hybrid. We thought a mix of what we do best would be interesting, at the least.

This piece also portrays the pressure, paranoia, and panic born from the inevitable, rooted in a story.

Behind the scenes

This song was weird to make, alright.

We quite literally finished the entire base of the piece in less than two days. Somewhere around 30, I'll guess. It was almost on pace with my first ever song, which I released in mere 3 days. Of course, the mixing took significantly longer.

Müzisyenb and I did the main structure together, I did all the fine tuning, mixing, preparing and cover by myself. It feels like less of a collaboration and more of a messing around project with a friend and I'm happy. We had both fun and it sure was an experience for me.

At some time of the production, we considered using AI for the cover and the name. I'm not really a fan of AI in general, so I pulled out my tablet and used my very poor drawing skills that I never even showed to a single soul before. To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything more than a few stickmen either...
