Kite Privacy Policy

Kite (package name: com.kite.lab) is developed and operated by Liu Da Di Ecom ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. By installing or using Kite, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Our Core Privacy Commitment
Kite works as an on-device toolkit. Your files, photos, documents, and cleaning activity are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to us. We run no servers that receive your personal content, and the App requires no account, registration, or login of any kind.
The only data that leaves your device is limited advertising and diagnostic information collected directly by our advertising partners, explained in Section 3.
2. What the App Processes on Your Device
To make its features work, Kite reads and processes the following information locally. None of it is transmitted to us:
Junk data — caches, residual files, and obsolete files, used by Junk Clean and Large Files.
Installed app list — app names, package names, and sizes, used by App Manager and leftover detection.
Photos, videos, audio, and documents — used by Photo Sweep, Twin Photos, Image Compressor, PDF to Image, Media Browser, and File Cabinet.
Device status — memory, battery, storage, and network status, used by Boost, Battery, Speed Test, and device information displays.
Text you type into tools — used by Text Studio, QR tools, and Unit Converter.
Files you choose to transfer — used by LAN Send / Receive over your local Wi-Fi network.
Photos you choose to recover — used by Photo Recovery, restored only to a folder you select.
3. Advertising Partners and Data They Collect
Kite is free because it shows ads. Ads are delivered through the TopOn mediation platform and its partner networks: Google AdMob, Pangle, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, and Smartdigimkttech.
These partners operate independently and may automatically collect:
Device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID (AAID);
Network information, including IP address, from which approximate location may be derived;
Ad interaction events, such as impressions and clicks;
The installed app list on your device, used for ad targeting and fraud prevention;
Telephony identifiers, such as phone number, which certain partners access for fraud prevention and ad measurement;
Crash logs and diagnostics, used to maintain ad delivery stability.
We do not control how these partners use the data they collect. Their own privacy policies apply:
4. Permissions Explained
Every permission Kite requests maps to a concrete feature:
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All files access) — Junk cleaning, large-file detection, photo recovery, and PDF conversion require scanning and managing files throughout shared storage. Files are deleted only after you confirm.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / VIDEO / AUDIO — Lets the App work with your media and documents for compression, duplicate detection, browsing, and recovery.
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES — The App Manager must see the full installed app list to show sizes, support uninstall, and identify orphaned leftovers.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS — Shows per-app storage footprint and usage details.
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES — Opens the system uninstall confirmation for apps you select. The App never removes anything silently.
GET_PACKAGE_SIZE — Reports accurate app sizes.
KILL_BACKGROUND_PROCESSES — Powers one-tap memory boost for processes you choose to stop.
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE — Delivers ads, runs the speed test, and connects devices over local Wi-Fi for file transfer.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (older Android versions only) — Saves compressed images, converted pages, and recovered photos.
5. Features With Special Privacy Notes
LAN File Transfer. Files move directly between two devices on the same local network. There is no relay, cloud, or intermediate server involved.
Photo Recovery. Scanning for recoverable images happens entirely on-device; restored photos never leave your phone.
Text Studio and QR Tools. Everything you type is processed locally and discarded when you leave the tool.
6. How Long Data Is Kept
We keep nothing — your personal content never reaches us.
Advertising data is retained by the ad partners under their own policies and is tied only to your device's Advertising ID, not to who you are.
7. Children's Privacy
Kite is not designed for or directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal data through the App.
8. Security
Your personal content stays on your device, protected by the device's own security model. Advertising partners transmit their data using industry-standard encryption.
9. Policy Updates
We may revise this policy as the App evolves. The "Last Updated" date above will always reflect the current version, and continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
