Team 7154 The ROK is the Kingsford High School Robotics team that competes in the FIRST® Robotics Competition. The team strives to excel both with performance on the field along with the more important goal of providing an opportunity for all its members to find new interests, grow in skills and experience, and push oneself to new levels of achievement. We will do this through teamwork, encouragement, and dedication all while striving to enjoy the journey as we grow together as one united team. What is Robotics?

Robotics is a diverse field with a growing impact in the world, touching everything from manufacturing to medicine. It is a multidisciplinary field that includes mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering (programming). Some examples of robotics in use are surgical robotic arms that allow intricate operations and autonomous mobile robots that move packages around warehouses.

The FIRST® Robotics Competition is a global competition for high school students to design a robot to compete in a new challenge each year. It allows spectacular growth through its project based learning approach that encourages critical thinking and allows students to push themselves to excel and learn more.
