Kinetic and hydrodynamic descriptions in collective behavior

Granada, Spain, 7-9 November 2022

This workshop is dedicated to bring together experienced researchers and early stage scientists on the mathematical theory of collective dynamics (gravitation, plasmas, flocking, swarming, synchronization, etc). Topics will focus on recent developments connecting the various scales of description of these phenomena (including micro, meso and macroscopic), and cutting-edge techniques stemming from PDEs, probability, kinetic theory, fluid mechanics and graph theory. The conference is organized on a series of extended talks (40 min), and we also envisage some short talks (10 min) for young researchers (but not exclusively) to communicate their results (see Registration).

The event will be held at the University of Granada in 7-9 November 2022, and it is organized by Piotr Mucha <pbmucha@mimuw.edu.pl>, Jan Peszek <j.peszek@mimuw.edu.pl> (University of Warsaw), David Poyato <davidpoyato@ugr.es> and Juan Soler <jsoler@ugr.es> (University of Granada).
