KinderDeutsch is a fully offline learning app for children. It has no user accounts, shows no ads, and contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything your child does stays on your device.
Who this policy is for
This policy explains how the KinderDeutsch mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is designed for children aged 3-10 and is intended to be used under the guidance of a parent or guardian.
Information we collect
None. The App does not require an account, sign-in, name, email address, location, or any other personal information. We do not use advertising identifiers, cookies, trackers, or third-party analytics services.
Where your child's progress is stored
Learning progress (levels, stars, coins, drawings, settings, and on-device usage statistics shown in the Parent area) is saved only on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any server. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes this data.
Microphone
The "Speak Like Max" pronunciation activity uses your device's microphone so your child can practise saying German words. Speech is processed on the device by your operating system's built-in speech recognition. We do not record, save, or transmit any audio. You can deny or revoke the microphone permission at any time in your device settings; the rest of the App still works.
Notifications
If a parent turns on the optional daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on the device. No data leaves the device to do this. The reminder can be switched off at any time in the Parent area.
Permissions we request
The App requests the microphone (for optional on-device pronunciation practice), notifications (for the optional daily learning reminder), and internet access (a standard Android dependency; the App works fully offline and does not use it to collect or transmit personal data).
Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
The App is directed to children and is built to be safe for them. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There is no advertising, no behavioural tracking, no in-app social features, and no external links or purchases within the child experience.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not collect any.
Changes to this policy
If the App's data practices ever change, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
