"Culture": the meaning of the word stems from the Latin word "cultus" which, in general, means "care", or "careful treatment" when considering the way we treat the earth, the way we relate to one another, learn skills, and develop our intellects, and civilizations.
Building, repairing, and transforming environments so that they are safe and salubrious places in which to live and work, where intelligence and wisdom may flourish, sometimes involves the risk of carrying out an enormous construction project. More frequently, numerous small activities that are repeated help to create social environments where we feel comfortable, where a better culture can be adopted, or a pre-existing one invigorated, where the ordinary things we do are given enduring value which may be enjoyed and shared with other people, including future generations.
Whether we've designed and managed the installation of an unusual new kitchen, easy-to-climb garden steps, a short training course, a piece of furniture, or clothing and accessories such as hats or a pair of gloves, we've carried out the commission with care. We're not limited to producing any one particular kind of product, but we're strictly tasked to make it kinder and cultural too.
