The following is taken from a document produced by Vi (Flatau) Johnson:  Vi asked her mom, Elsie Flatau, many questions in January of 1988 when she was visiting Port Angeles.  The account was compiled by Vi in March 1988.  Minnie (Beckman) Heilman read it over in February 1988 to add a note or two.

Louise Johanna Sophia Beckman  

Louise worked for Schoenebergs in Perham doing housework.  She was working at the neighbor's cooking breakfast early in the morning when she saw her parent’s house on fire.  She ran over to warn them by breaking windows.  

She went to Jamestown, North Dakota where Emma was and did housework.  She met Peter Schriner, who worked on the railroad.  They were married November 23, 1909 in the morning.  Pete was 25 and Louise 21. 

She was a good seamstress and later years had asthma problems. 

They moved to Lodi, California. They had two children.
