Compatibility: Windows 10 -11
Requirements:
Python 3.8 or newer → https://www.python.org/downloads/
- During install, CHECK "Add Python to PATH"
- No extra packages needed — uses only Python's standard library
Follow the instructions below to install the software:
Download the following MEGA file:
https://mega.nz/file/cJlFWQhA#E-NI90vh21h0iC_5G1FIPPYYXfUfoJajjzkvD51O-fE
Once downloaded, Unzip the downloaded file to where ever you see fit. [suggested to extract/unzip to C:\Program Files (x86) ]
After unzipping enter the folder, you'll find a shortcut file named, "kwDrivrHlthChkr" . cut that file and paste it to where you want it to be for easy/quick access. [Suggested: Desktop)
if the shortcut doesnt work, No problem! just copy the path of the .bat (Run_DriverHealthChecker) file and create your own shortcut!
you can use the .ico file to change the shortcut logo!
And voila, you have the KW DrivrHlthChkr installed and ready to use.
How to use:
open the shortcut (click on the shortcut)
A pop up will show a security warning, dont worry, just click run.( sometimes may not show)
Once again you'll be prompted, this time asking if you want to allow python to access your system files. click yes
And there you go. it will take some time to scan your device and then it'll show you info about the stuff.
Fixes for Errors:
it is hightly likely your shortcut/ .bat /python file doesnt work.
the fix for the shortcut is already told above. So heres the fix for the python.(you'll need notepad ++)
open the .bat file (Run_DriverHealthChecker) in notepad ++
In line 4 you'll see something like this:
" set PYTHON_PATH=C:\Users\jathy\AppData\Local\Programs\Python "
just change "jathy" with the name of your User folder
