This Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Ai Translate, you agree to the practices described here. We may update this Policy from time to time by posting a new version in the app or on our website.

1.1 Information you provide

• Translation content: text you type/paste, images you upload for OCR, and audio you record for speech-to-text 

• Support messages: information you send when contacting us.

1.2 Information we get automatically

• Device & app data: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, diagnostics, and basic analytics events.

• Network & identifiers: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, advertising or device identifiers (where applicable).

Permissions used (Android):

• Microphone (for speech input, optional)

• Photos/Media/Files or Camera (for image translation/OCR, optional)

• Network (to call translation/OCR/STT services)
  You can manage permissions in your device settings. The app may not function fully without optional permissions.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Provide core features (translate text, images, audio) and operate, maintain, and improve Ai Translate.

• Process User Content with on-device models (when available) or with third-party AI services (see §3) to return translations/OCR/STT results.

• Perform analytics, debugging, and crash reporting to improve stability and quality.

• Send service messages (updates, security alerts, changes to this Policy).

• Where permitted, send product tips or promotions (you can opt out).

Translation History: By default, we do not permanently store your User Content on our servers. If you enable features like history, favorites, or cloud sync, your items may be stored locally on your device and, if you opt in, encrypted in our cloud to sync across devices.

3. Third-Party Services & Sharing

To deliver Ai Translate, we may share limited information with trusted providers that process data on our behalf, such as:

• Translation/OCR/Speech APIs (e.g., <Google Cloud/Gemini/>). These providers receive only the data necessary to perform the requested operation (e.g., the text or media you submit) and return results to the app.

• Analytics/Crash Reporting (e.g., <Firebase Crashlytics>).

We may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights and users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We do not sell personal data.

4. Data Retention

• User Content for processing: kept only transiently for the time needed to generate results, unless you enable history/sync or explicitly save it.

• Account and subscription records: kept as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal/financial obligations.

• Analytics/crash logs: retained for limited periods consistent with their purpose.

You can request deletion of your account and associated cloud-stored data at any time

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege practices). However, no system is perfectly secure.

6. Children

Ai Translate is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.

We may process and store information on servers located in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
