Teaching Site of Dr Khan

Dr. Hasinur Rahaman Khan is teaching currently three different courses at the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 2019-20 he is teaching Generalized Linear Models (AST 408) for B.S. students and Statistical Machine Learning (AST 525) and Statistical Computing-I (AST 530) for masters (M.S.) students of Applied Statistics.

Besides, Hasinur Khan is active in research. He works in high-dimensional data analysis (censored or uncensored), with his main research interest being in variable selection or variable reduction techniques and also in statistical inference with censored data found in fields like Statistical Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Public Health etc. He is also interested to work in statistical computing, Bayesian Statistics and Social Statistics. He is also interested in statistical consultancy which includes general advice on the application of statistical methods including study design, data analysis and interpretation, and on all statistical aspects of business and academic research.

Dr. Khan is actively involved with Bangladesh Covid-19 data analysis since the pandemic started in March 8, 2020 in Bangladesh. He wrote several research journal articles, pre--prints, and Newspaper articles on Covid-19. He has been published A Daily Report on Bangladesh Covid-19 Data since April 8, 2020. Besides, his opinions and discussions on Covid-19 have been reported by several main stream broadcasting Televisions like Ekattor TV, Channel24, ATN News etc.
