Serving Size: Makes 15 under 2 hours
Flour - 2 ½ cups
Milk - 150 ml
Butter - 3 ½ tbsp (unsalted)
Egg - 1
Yeast - 1 tsp
Sugar- 2 ½ tbsp
Salt- 1 ¼ tsp
Combine all ingredients together - Mix with a wooden spoon
Knead dough by hand or use a stand mixer
3-4 minutes(texture becomes less sticky)
If still sticky add more flour
If too tough add water/milk
The dough needs to be soft, elastic(springs back), and can stretch small portions into thin sheets
Roll and divide dough- into 15 pieces
Cover dough with a damp cloth to avoid drying
Flatten each piece and tuck in edges toward the center, (roll into the shape of a ball)
Place each ball on a baking tray (can grease with batter and place parchment paper)
Cover tray with plastic wrap. Let them sit and rise in a warm environment for 1 hour
Bake at 375 for 18-20 minutes until golden brown
Cool for a few minutes
