If you want a protective shell to keep your Anker Soundcore Sleep A30 or A20 earbuds safe from drops and travel wear, choose khanka Hard Case; if you need the actual sleeping earbuds with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and side-sleeper comfort, choose UYI Sleep Earbuds. These two items serve fundamentally different roles in your audio ecosystem, and confusing them is a recipe for frustration. One is an accessory designed to preserve a specific brand of earbuds, while the other is a complete wireless audio solution built specifically for lying on your stomach or side. Understanding this distinction is the first step before buying either for your nightly routine or even for active use like basketball.
• khanka Hard Case: Its biggest strength is the rugged EVA shell and soft velvet interior that shields delicate electronics from impact and scratches; its trade-off is that it is merely a container and requires you to already own compatible Anker earbuds to function. This pick is for existing Soundcore owners who need durable protection for travel or storage.
• UYI Sleep Earbuds: Its biggest strength is the ultra-lightweight, flat ergonomic design made of soft silicone that allows for side-sleeping without pressure points; its trade-off is that it is a standalone device that does not come with a dedicated hard-shell case included in the box. This pick is for anyone needing a fresh pair of sleep headphones to replace old ones or start a new sleep routine.
The khanka Hard Case is a specialized accessory born out of necessity for owners of the Anker Soundcore Sleep A30 and A20 models. If you have already invested in these specific earbuds, you know they are sensitive pieces of technology that can easily suffer damage from being tossed into a gym bag or dropped on a nightstand. This case is engineered specifically to address those vulnerabilities. It features a custom fit that ensures the earbuds and their charging cases sit snugly inside, eliminating the fumbling and shaking that often leads to internal component stress.
What sets this case apart from generic alternatives is the material combination. The exterior is constructed from hard EVA and nylon, which provides a robust barrier against drops and dust. You do not need to worry about the case cracking if you accidentally step on it or drop it from a standard height. Inside, the soft velvet lining acts as a cushion, preventing the glossy plastic of the earbuds from getting scratched by friction during transit. There is also a mesh pocket for storing extra ear tips or cables, which is a practical touch for keeping your accessories organized rather than loose in a drawer.
This product is strictly for people who already possess the Anker Soundcore Sleep A30 or A20 earbuds. It is not a universal case, nor is it intended for other brands. If you are looking for a case to protect a completely different set of headphones, this will not work. Furthermore, be aware that this item is "case only"; the earbuds themselves are not included. It is a thoughtful gift for someone who loves their Soundcore gear but wants to upgrade their carrying experience. The inclusion of a sturdy wrist strap makes it easy to grab and go, whether you are heading to bed or packing for a trip. However, if you are a heavy side sleeper who needs the earbuds themselves to stay in place, this case offers no help—it is purely for storage and transport.

The UYI Sleep Earbuds are designed from the ground up to solve the physical discomfort most people feel when trying to listen to white noise or audiobooks while lying down. Traditional earbuds are round and bulky, creating painful pressure points when you roll onto your side. The UYI model solves this with a flat, ergonomic shape made from ultra-soft silicone. Each bud weighs only 3 grams, making them nearly invisible and weightless once inserted. This design allows you to rest your head on a pillow without feeling a foreign object digging into your ear canal.
Beyond comfort, the technical specifications support long-term use. The device utilizes Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which ensures a stable connection to your phone or tablet throughout the night. You will not experience the frustrating disconnects that plague older Bluetooth devices when you shift positions in bed. The battery life is substantial, offering up to 6 hours of continuous playtime on a single charge, with the charging case extending that total to 40 hours. This means you can rely on them for multiple nights of sleep sounds or meditation sessions without needing to plug them in daily.
These earbuds are ideal for side sleepers who have previously failed with over-ear headbands or standard wireless buds. They feature dual listening modes, allowing you to switch between a "Sleep Mode" that suppresses low-battery alerts (so you don't get woken up) and a "Normal Mode" for daytime use where you want to hear notifications. They also include Active Noise Cancellation to help block out environmental disturbances. However, because they are the primary audio device, they do not come with a separate hard protective shell like the khanka option. You must rely on the included charging case for storage, which is sleek but lacks the heavy-duty impact resistance of the khanka EVA shell. This product is for buyers who need the actual audio hardware to fall asleep, not just a container for existing hardware.
• Best for protecting existing Anker gear → khanka Hard Case. If you own the Anker Soundcore Sleep A30 or A20, this case is the only logical choice for keeping them scratch-free and drop-proof.
• Best for actual sleep audio → UYI Sleep Earbuds. If you need a new pair of headphones to play white noise or music while you sleep, the UYI buds provide the necessary hardware and comfort.
• Best for side-sleeping comfort → UYI Sleep Earbuds. The flat, 3g design is superior for resting your head on a pillow compared to any standard earbud shape.
• Best for travel durability → khanka Hard Case. The hard EVA shell offers significantly more impact resistance than the typical charging case provided with sleep earbuds.
• Best for battery longevity → UYI Sleep Earbuds. With 6 hours of playtime and a 40-hour total via the case, the UYI system is built for all-night endurance.
• Best for organization → khanka Hard Case. The internal mesh pocket keeps extra tips and cables neatly separated, whereas sleep earbuds usually lack this level of internal storage.
• Best for modern connectivity → UYI Sleep Earbuds. The Bluetooth 5.4 chip offers faster pairing and better stability than older generations found in many legacy accessories.
• Best for basketball or active use → UYI Sleep Earbuds. While neither is a dedicated sports headset, the UYI buds' secure fit and sweat-resistant nature make them the viable option for light activity, whereas the khanka case is strictly for stationary storage.
In my opinion, I would choose the UYI Sleep Earbuds if I were looking to buy a product for personal use, specifically because I need the actual functionality of listening to content while I sleep. The khanka Hard Case is an excellent accessory, but it is useless without the specific Anker earbuds it was designed for. If you are already an Anker user, the khanka case is a must-have upgrade for peace of mind. However, for a general buyer wanting a reliable sleep solution, the UYI buds offer the complete package of comfort, battery life, and connectivity. Both products are solid choices for their respective niches, but the UYI earbuds stand alone as a functional device ready for immediate use. Whether you are using them for a quiet night or perhaps best with mic ear clip headphones for basketball scenarios where you need something lightweight, the UYI buds provide the versatility that a simple case cannot match.
The khanka case is water-resistant and can handle splashes and dust, but it is not fully waterproof. It is best to avoid submerging it.
Yes, the UYI Sleep Earbuds feature Active Noise Cancellation to help block out external sounds. They also allow you to switch modes so you do not hear low-battery alerts while you are trying to fall asleep.
Absolutely. While optimized for sleep, the UYI buds support normal listening modes for music, audiobooks, and calls. They utilize a dynamic driver with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz for clear sound quality.
No, the khanka Hard Case is custom-fit specifically for the Anker Soundcore Sleep A30 and A20 models. It will not fit other brands of earbuds due to the precise dimensions required for a snug hold.
