Greetings, 

I am Dr. Khawaja Khalid Mehmood (a.k.a. Khalid Khawaja). I appreciate your taking the time to visit my webpage.

At the moment, I am working as a postdoctoral research fellow with Prof. Phuong Nguyen at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, Netherlands, where we are working on the ORKEST project. I completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Chul-Hwan Kim (IEEE Fellow) from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea in 2019 and did my B.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from Mirpur University of Science and Technology, Mirpur, Pakistan in 2012 under the guidance of Dr. Sajjad Manzoor.

Before joining TU/e, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E), National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, and The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad. My research interests are electric vehicles, battery energy storage systems, power system optimization, modeling electrical power systems, planning and operations of active distribution systems, and machine learning applications in distribution systems.
