I am an assistant professor in Mathematics Department of Gebze Technical University, Kocaeli, Türkiye since May 2024. My field of expertise is physical mathematics, and my research interest lies in the intersection of physics and geometry. Particularly I am interested in generalized geometries in algebroid framework suitable for exceptional field theories and duality symmetries. Main motivation for my work comes from string and M theories wherein new geometric structures necessitate themselves.
I am eager to learn about geometrical, topological and category theoretical methods in physics since my main intention in life is to understand nature while doing proper mathematics. As my favorite scientist of all times, Dirac, stated "The steady progress of physics requires for its theoretical formulation a mathematics that gets continually more advanced".
Before joining GTU, I was a postdoctoral researcher in Mathematics Department of İstanbul Technical University, İstanbul, Türkiye since 2021. During my studies, I was funded by two different projects, İTU DOSAP and TÜBİTAK ARDEB. I completed my PhD in Physics Department of Koç University, İstanbul, Türkiye in 2021, where I worked both as a research and teaching assistant. I graduated from Physics Department of the same university in 2016, where I also did a double major with Mathematics.
