10/10/25. SPLINKOS.

So... where did that year go?

Lots to share, been a long year but it's the London Pen Show tomorrow, WOO and I'm stupidly excited for a variety of reasons.

The first is that the LPS is always an awesome show but, this year, it's a TWO DAY thing for the first time. 

The second is that, for the past few weeks I've been putting something together which I'm taking with me. They're called Splinkos annnnnnd well, yes maybe that does need some explanation. 

I've been inspired by a happy childhood collecting, occasionally, trading cards (those Star Wars cards... happy nostalgic sigh....) so, over the past 6 weeks or so I've been making my own.

So... for tomorrow and sunday I have 30 packets each day to sell, share and show, Each pack containing 3 stickers, an art class, a couple of blank - or designed - swatch cards and a hand drawn art card from a variety of 4 designs - pumpkins (21 designs), human figure (10 designs), snails (25 designs) and random. 

The pumpkins were drawn on watercolour card with a Scriveriner EDC and a Lamy Joy with Ferris Wheel Press Velvet Ballet and Diamine/Cult Pens Pumpkin Shimmer. My original idea was to do something Inktobery but my minds been full with too many things so I went random designs instead.

Those who know me know that life drawing is an important part in my life (and my artistic journey)... so for some of my card designs I took the blanks to the weekly group and drew the model on them rather than on a sketchpad. A fun challenge and the group were intrigued by the limitation. Will likely do this again :)

There's more to say but, for the moment I've got to dash, cook dinner, pack for tomorrow and a whole lot of to do list. More blog to come I hope and not a year long break before the next update....
