Obviously there's a page dedicated to Paint 3D on my site... but this is about the death of it... Or at least the consistent misunderstandings and deletions of anything creative within Microsoft sigh...
Overly dramatic? Yes, possibly, but it does make me intensely sad to think of how much potential there is for creativity at Microsoft and how much it's spurned. I'm convinced there would be a good deal of money in it too, but hey... Engineers gotta engineer.
Joining me on the collab was my crochet creating wife who brought a clutch of very popular and well loved mushrooms, imps and frogs.
For my part it was a range of framed and unframed artworks on sale including sticker packs of badges and stickers.
And was delighted to hand over the artwork created for the Writing Equipment Society raffle :)
As with any community it was the catching up with lovely people who make smiles happen just by being there....
...and OF COURSE I bought a couple of things while there... A pen here, an ink there... The Shibuinorth pen has gone down a storm at my life drawing group and I've used the Estie a LOT since purchase...
I didn't get the chance to make a video of the day but, tbh, it has a familiar rhyme and rhythm so the video here is pretty representative. I'm torn between liking being a vendor or visitor more. Raising money for Unicef and then the Royal Free is a delightful thing but being able to mooch about and see what's happening with less time demands is also a fabulous thing.
Do I have a favourite pen?
Well, no. But I have a number that I love for different reasons:
The Lamy Safri for every day carry and generally inexpensive collection. Always a good nib, always fun to sit and play with.
The Scriveiner EDC pens are an utter delight. So well thought outm engineered and fun to use.
But... I think possibly the Esterbrook pens have the largest place in my heart. Well balanced, beautiful to look at and use. More to say on this in a future blog...
But for now THANK YOU London Pen Show. As ever as always a wonderful day on the calendar...
