In the beginning,

God created the Heavens and the Kerbin. The Kerbin was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of god was over all. God then said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw the light was good. And god seperated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and morning, the first ever day. Skipping ahead to the sixth day of creation, God created Kerbal, both male and female, from the dust of Kerbin, and to which their bodies later return.

For thousands of years, Kerbals lived all throughout Kerbin without a need for any form of government, as they simply did what they were made for - to live in god's creation. However, the need for a government would come later with the introduction of a threat. This threat, the Minmutians, were evil in nature. They were also very advanced for their time period, and they eventually would voyage from Minmus to Kerbin to practice mercantilism.

The "thousand years" of sorrow

According to the earliest documents, the Minmutians visited the continent of Gnosis, located where modern day Leeland is. The Minmutians, roughly over a period of a thousand years, would subject Kerbin and the Kerbals to harsh treatments for the sake of economic gain. During this period, we can see famous paintings, such as the trail of sorrows, where many Kerbals were loaded onto spacecraft and taken back to Minmus in order that they would slaves.

The Rising Resentment

Due to the lack of a real society on Kerbin, the Kerbals had no ability to think for themselves or even defend themselves from harm. Thus, it took them forever to actually understand what was going on. Eventually, revolutionary minds such as George Kerman, alongside Locke Kerman, Montesquieu Kerman, and others, developed the key principles of a real society. With this, they would begin secret meetings in what is now Kermani City.

The Formation of the Representative Body

After the conclusion of the First Continental Congress, representatives from all over Kerbin were selected to be apart of the effort to free Kerbin from the Minmus rule. Thus, there would be six representatives, one from each of the following continents.

Kulge
Serthenia
Iconian Archipelago
Andolia
Gnosis
Sverna

The Continental Congress

The Continental Congress is what is known as the formation of the modern Kerbal Society. At the continental congress, the following ideas were established

Natural Birthrights of Kerbelians
The Belief in a democratic society
Representation through elected officials ( in order to lead the entirety of Kerbin against Minmus, and also for the future. )
Peace through strength in military
The belief in society at large.

The First United Kerbelia

With the finalization of the Continental Congress, the ideas were signed off by each of the six representatives, officially forming the First United Kerbelia state and army. With this, the representatives decided on a leader. Eventually, the leader was selected to be George Kerman, one of the six original representatives, specifically from Kulge. With George Kerman in power, the Continental Congress mobilized their Continental Army and sent off their Declaration of Independence to Minmus in order save Kerbin in 1776.

The Kerbelian Revolution

When the Kerbelian Revolutionary war kicked off, patriotism was in the air, and Kerbals all around the planet stormed armories to get the weapons needed to fight the Minmutian forces. The war started off in favor of the Minmutians as they were superior in every aspect except manpower. After a lot of guerilla warfare and swarm charges later, the Minmutians eventually surrendered at Kermani in 1983, marking the end of the Kerbelian Revolution, giving freedom to Kerbin.

The dissolution of the First United Kerbelia

With the war over, five out of the six representatives decided to withdraw from the United Kerbelian Agreement, thus leaving George Kerman, the only lasting representative, as the leader of the United Kerbelian Agreement. With this, he would go on to be the first ever leader of a nation on Kerbin. After a vote, the people of Kulge decided to name their nation, the "United States of Kerbelia," representing the untied nature of their nation under one government that would serve all people. For generations, this government would adapt and change in order with time so it could be the best for its civilians.

The Minmutian's Decline

Happily for the Kerbals, a moon called Selune bombarded the Minmutian's home world of Minmus, which eventually leaded to Minmus getting trapped around Kerbin's Orbit, along with a ring around minmus. Thus, the Minmutian race was dead, and the Kerbals were free to live without worry and start on their own endeavor outside of their home world...

Territorial Expansion and Ikreland

With the United States of Kerbelia being the only dominant force on Kerbin, they decided to expand their borders beyond their original 1783 designation. They would eventually end up owning all of Serthenia and Andolia, with Serthenia being named "The State of Syracuse," and Andolia being named, "Ikreland."

Syracuse was named after its founder, Syracuse Kerman, who would go on to form the settelment of Syracuse near modern day Slyvia. This town of Syracuse would later go on to be renamed "Old Syracuse" to contrast itself with the later city of Syliva.

Ikreland's founder, Ikreland Kerman, would form the city of Ikreland, located at Rosewater Bay. Ikreland is known for its resource rich nature and amazing geography, and it would later get settled up until 1856. In 1856, Ikreland petitioned for its independence from Kerbelia, to which they were granted it honorably. Ikreland and the United States of Kerbelia would go on to be close allies for the rest of history and even in the modern age too.

The Age of Exploration

For the first time ever, Kerbals got over their heads, and decided to go up, not sideways! Thus, they started work on a aeronautics program, and the main company running it would be known as Nicholas Aeronautics, which was run by Kerbal billionaire Nicholas Kerman.

The Space Age

Eventually, the Kerbals were able to launch their first rocket into space, and even to Minmus! They did this to show that they were the superior race in Kerbin system. While this was happening, the rocketry department was named Kupera Aerospace, which eventually led to the formation of Nicholas Space Productions, whose sub-companies include Kupera Aerospace and Nicholas Aeronautics.

The Modern Age

Although the space program was going well for the Kerbals, one of their major states, Syracuse, wished for independence to follow their own way of life. Kerbelia, being the wonderful democratic nation that they are, allowed this to happen for the better of the planet. Along with this, NSP Corp has made major advancments, and even to the point to where they can reach anywhere in the solar system by using their Astra Sailer.

The Geopolitical Expansion of Kerbin

With Kerbelia, Ikreland, and Syracuse being the major nations on Kerbin, other nations would begin to rise up. To begin, the Iconian Archipelago, who was inhabited by a group of Kerbals known as the Laklarians, would form their Federal Republic of Laklar. Sadly though, they would face a harsh future as Syracuse would constantly threaten them, especially when they took over their eastern most island of Virrida.

Next, we would see a nation named Leeland form, encompassing most of the Gnosis Continent. The history of Leeland would too be marked by Syracusan agression, similar to that of the Iconian Archipelago.

Finally, the First Cramonian Reich would form. They were a puppet of Syracuse, and many, many Kerbal rights were violated here.

The Interplanetary Civilization Age

After the advancements of Astra Sailor, and the terror invoked by the Red Revolution, Kerbelia knew it would be best to find more than just one home for their grand nation. And through this struggle, they heavily funded N.S.P. and Kerbal Mechanical Labs to make the idea of living on another planet possible. After while, their ambitions were finally reality, and Kerbelia was the first country to establish life on other celestial bodies. Shortly after this, they drafted the Treaty of Space, which is to protect space from all other threats by setting limits to what can be done. All nations, except Syracuse, have signed this treaty, hoping for a prosperous future. Furthermore, many world famous people, such as Nicholas Kerman, have pushed for this treaty, and Kerbelia, being at the spearhead of this movement, is known to be the beacon of prosperity of freedom throughout the universe. Sadly, they are being challenged by Syracuse, who says they are harmless, but in reality all they want is power. In this time period too, Kerbelia reigns dominant over all space travel throughout the Kerbol System.

The Interstellar Age

With advancments made by Kerbelia in the space industry, and it's Aerospace complex ramping up with the creation of many new companies, the Kerbal Race has been able to make its way beyond the grasp of its own Star to the reaches of it's local group of Stars and Black Holes, primarily Kcalbeloh. Using NSP and KML's joint project, the Neidon Venture, Interplanetary Travel has been made possible and cheap, as planets such as Sera and her moon have been able to be visited by Kerbal made Technology. With this advancement, Kerbals have turned into a type two civilization, as they can manipulate their surroundings to venture far beyond their primary star's grasp.

The Contemporary Age

After being considered the Kerbolar System's only "space confederation," the United States of Kerbelia has expanded further than any ever thought was possible. With the introduction of the Continued Pressence Bill on March 6th, the Kerbelian Space effort would start to decrease in speed as a focus to more political matters would take priority. Now, being the only nation with the Superpower status, Kerbelia would navigate its way through a new world environment it created through the expansion of exploration as we know it.
