Celebrating Tradition and Togetherness – Ladies Chenda Group Performance is a remarkable group of full-time working women, each balancing family life and professional commitments, yet united by their shared roots in the Knanaya community. From childhood, they cherished the vibrant rhythms of Shingari Melam and Chenda Melam, sounds that once echoed through their formative years—until life's responsibilities gently pulled them away.

But like a dormant seed that awakens with the faintest touch of sunlight, their deep nostalgia and love for this traditional art form were rekindled when their beloved instructor, Mr. Jinoy Mathew—fondly known as Ashan—and the community organization offered them a chance to learn and reconnect.
