About the position of Judge of Elections
The "Judge of Election" is in charge of all Election Day activities and personnel inside the polling place (The far side of the gym at Gwynedd Square Elementary School).
The Judge opens and closes the polls (turns on the machines) and is responsible for the paperwork and delivering the election supplies to the polling place. The Judge is also responsible for getting the election results to the county offices in Norristown after the polls close.
The "Judge of Election" has responsibilities for going to training before each election and TWO DAYS of the year: Primary Election Day and General Election Day, and ONLY at the local polling place (Gwynedd Square Elementary School) for that district.

Even though the name sounds similar, A voting district "Judge of Election" is NOT a Magisterial District Judge or also known simply as a "District Judge".
An elected Magisterial "District Judge" has a full time job and presides over each of the individual district courts. For more information on District Judges see these web sites: http://www.montcopa.org/300/Magisterial-District-Courts
