If you want a specialized tool to rescue broken headphone plugs from your mobile devices for calls, choose kenddeel Headphone Plug Extraction; if you need rugged protection and organization for over-ear headphones during travel, choose RAIACE Hard Travel Carrying.
• kenddeel Headphone Plug Extraction: Its greatest strength is providing six stainless steel tubes specifically engineered to grip and extract broken 3.5mm plugs from tight phone jacks; its trade-off is that it serves a single, narrow purpose and offers no general storage or protection features.
• RAIACE Hard Travel Carrying: It excels as a durable, EVA-shelled case with soft lining designed to shield premium headphones from drops, moisture, and dust while organizing cables in a mesh pocket; its limitation is that it is a passive container that does not fix hardware issues or repair broken components.
• Best For: The kenddeel set is the emergency solution for anyone who has snapped an earbud tip inside their jack, while the RAIACE case is the essential companion for travelers protecting valuable audio gear.
This tool is designed for a very specific, high-stress scenario where a 3.5mm headphone plug has shattered inside a device's auxiliary port. Whether you are using a cellular phone, a laptop, or a tablet, the moment that metal piece snaps off, your ability to take calls or listen to music via wired connections vanishes. The kenddeel kit addresses this directly by offering six separate stainless steel extraction tubes. Each tube is crafted with a precise gap of 0.1mm between the tool and the housing, ensuring it can slide into the smallest crevices around standard headphone jacks without damaging the surrounding plastic or metal.
The workflow is straightforward but requires patience. You insert the steel tube between the broken plug fragment and the jack housing, gently pushing it down until the tool engages the broken piece. Once engaged, you tighten the end of the tube—either by hand or with pliers—and pull outward to retrieve the fragment. If the first attempt doesn't clear the debris completely, the kit provides five additional opportunities with different tubes, allowing you to try again without needing to buy a new set immediately. This "six-chance" approach is critical because the way a plug breaks can vary wildly depending on the force applied or the material quality of the original cable.

You should buy this product if you frequently use wired headsets for conference calls, gaming, or commuting and have ever experienced the frustration of a broken connector stuck in your phone. It is also ideal for anyone who owns older devices or budget-friendly laptops that still rely on the traditional 3.5mm auxiliary port rather than USB-C or Bluetooth-only connections. However, you should skip this purchase if you only own modern devices that lack a headphone jack entirely, or if you exclusively use wireless Bluetooth solutions. This tool solves a mechanical problem; it offers no value if you do not have a physical 3.5mm port to clean out.
In contrast to the precision engineering of the extraction tool, the RAIACE case is built for survival and transport. It is constructed from premium hard EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) material, which creates a rigid shell capable of absorbing significant impact. This makes it an ideal choice for anyone who carries expensive over-ear headphones like Skullcandy Crusher or Beats Solo3 models in backpacks, carry-on luggage, or gym bags. The exterior is tough enough to resist crushing forces, while the interior features a fluffy, anti-static fabric lining that acts as a shock absorber. This soft layer ensures that even if your bag takes a heavy drop, your headphones won't suffer internal damage or surface scratches.
Organization is another key feature of this design. Inside the main compartment, there is a dedicated mesh pocket specifically sized to hold charging cables and other small accessories. This prevents the chaotic tangle of wires that often accompanies travel, keeping your setup neat and ready for immediate use upon arrival. The case also includes a steady hand strap for easy portability and a smooth, strong zipper that allows for quick access. The waterproof nature of the enclosure adds an extra layer of security against rain or accidental spills, making it suitable for outdoor adventures or daily commutes in unpredictable weather.
This product is perfect for the frequent traveler, the student moving between classes, or the commuter who needs to protect their audio investment from the rigors of public transit. It fits comfortably in most bags due to its compact design, yet it is large enough to accommodate bulky over-ear models. However, it is not a universal fit for every headphone type; the dimensions are tailored to specific models like the Skullcandy Crusher and Beats Solo3. If you have ultra-small on-ear buds or massive studio monitors, you might find the fit loose or impossible. Additionally, since this is a protective shell only, it does not include any electronics or accessories, so it is strictly a storage solution for those who already own the compatible headphones.

If I had to choose one based on the likelihood of needing it for calls, I would pick the RAIACE Hard Travel Carrying. While the kenddeel tool solves a catastrophic failure, the RAIACE case prevents the majority of problems that occur during daily life. Most people prioritize protecting their expensive headphones from being crushed in a bag or damaged by moisture over the rare event of a broken plug snapping off. A well-preserved pair of headphones ensures consistent call quality and longevity, whereas the extraction tool is a niche fix for a specific accident. For me, preventing damage is far more valuable than repairing it after the fact.
While both products serve different purposes, the RAIACE case ensures your headphones remain in pristine condition, which is vital for maintaining microphone clarity and battery health during long call sessions.
No, the kenddeel extraction tool is specifically designed for 3.5mm diameter headphone jacks found on mobile phones, laptops, and tablets; it will not work on USB-C or Lightning ports.
Yes, the RAIACE case features a water resistance level that protects your headphones from moisture, rain, and spills during travel.
Correct, the listing includes the hard storage case only; the headphones and accessories are not included in the package.
