Kemle Privacy Policy
Overview Kemle is an Android mood journal that helps you record feelings, activities, notes, photos, voice recordings, reminders, and personal mood analytics. This policy describes the information handled by the app and the choices available to you.
Information Handled by Kemle Mood journal data Kemle stores mood selections, numeric mood scores, dates, times, tags, activities, notes, streaks, calendar summaries, and analytics calculated from your records.
Photos and audio If you choose to add a photo or record a voice note, Kemle stores the selected image or audio file in the app's local documents storage. Kemle accesses only photos you select and audio you intentionally record.
Account information If you use Sign‑in with Google, Kemle receives a Google user identifier and may receive your name and email address. Google typically provides name and email only during the first authorization.
Settings Kemle stores onboarding status, login state, reminder time, and other app preferences needed to preserve your experience.
Local Storage The current version of Kemle stores mood records, account display information, preferences, photos, and audio locally on your device using app preferences and the app's documents directory. Sign‑in with Google authenticates your identity but does not automatically upload mood records to cloud storage. Kemle does not currently claim to provide cross‑device cloud synchronization.
How Information Is Used ‑ To save and display your mood journal. ‑ To calculate daily and monthly averages, streaks, distributions, changes, and stability indicators. ‑ To display mood states on the calendar and filter records by date. ‑ To schedule the local reminder time you select. ‑ To display your Google account identity after authorization. ‑ To respond when you contact support.
Device Permissions Notifications Notification permission is used to schedule local mood reminders. You can change this permission in your device system Settings.
Microphone Microphone permission is used only when you record a voice attachment for a mood entry.
Photo / Media library Photo‑media access is used to let you select an image attachment. Kemle does not scan your full photo‑media library.
Sharing and Sale of Data We do not sell your mood journal data, notes, photos, audio, or Google account information. Because current journal storage is local, Kemle does not routinely transmit those records to our servers. Information may be disclosed if required by law or necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
Retention and Deletion Local data remains on your device until it is deleted through available app controls, the app is uninstalled, or app/device data is erased. Logging out removes locally stored account identity information but does not necessarily delete mood records and media. Deleting the app may permanently remove local data unless it is included in a device backup managed by your device manufacturer or cloud backup service.
Security Kemle relies on Android application sandboxing and device security protections for local data. No storage method is completely secure. Protect your device with a screen lock passcode or PIN and keep your Android system updated.
Sensitive and Health Information Mood records may be personally sensitive. Kemle is a personal reflection tool, not a healthcare provider or emergency service. Avoid entering information you do not want stored on your device.
Children Kemle is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a support request, contact us so we can address it.
Your Choices ‑ Choose whether to use Sign‑in with Google. ‑ Choose whether to attach photos or audio. ‑ Manage notification, microphone, and photo‑media permissions in your device system Settings. ‑ Log out from the Account page. ‑ Contact us with privacy or support questions.
Policy Updates We may update this policy as Kemle changes. The latest version and effective date will be posted on this page.
