Many little boys dream of becoming firefighters. Keith Sanders Raleigh NC firefighter was one of those boys! In 1999, he fully realized the opportunity for his boyhood dream to come true! Each day was an adventure and Keith truly appreciated the responsibility of serving and protecting his community. From 1999 to 2003, he served on the Western Wake Fire Rescue. In preparation for his duties on the Fire Department, Keith diligently completed all necessary training; including Firefighter Training 1 & 2. Each day on the job was a valuable opportunity to learn more about his career, himself and his community. Perhaps the most valuable lesson he learned from his days as a firefighter is this: caring for the community is important to him. Although he is now retired, Keith still considers his firefighting duties to be a part of his daily life. That's why he has launched a blog series dedicated to equipping members of his community with critical fire safety knowledge.
