Title: Spin pumping and spin Hall magnetoresistance as a probe of spin excitation

Abstract: Recently, various experimental techniques such as spin pumping and spin Hall magnetoresistance (SMR) have attracted interest as a probe of spin excitation in target materials [1]. After brief introduction of physical phenomena in spintronics, we present a theoretical framework for spin pumping and SMR and propose experimental setups for their application. We explain three examples; (i) spin pumping into superconductors [2], (ii) spin current noise in spin pumping [3], and (iii) SMR for a bilayer system composed of a metal layer and an antiferromagnetic layer [4]. We stress that our theoretical description is based on an analogy between spintronic and electronic transports.
