App: Keepsake
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Keepsake is a voice-first reminder and memory app. Speak a thought once — we help turn it into reminders, memories, or routines and bring it back when useful. If something isn’t working, start with the FAQ below. Still stuck? Email us.

Frequently asked questions
How do I create a reminder?
Tap the center mic, speak something like “Remind me to call the dentist tomorrow at 3 PM,” tap Continue, then Save. Timed items appear on Today.
What’s the difference between Today, Memories, and Routines?
Today — timed reminders that need attention
Memories — notes/facts with no deadline (no default alerts)
Routines — repeating reminders (daily / weekly / monthly)
Why didn’t I get a notification?
Check iOS Settings → Keepsake → Notifications and turn alerts on. Also confirm the item has a time, isn’t paused (routines), and isn’t a Memory (memories don’t notify by default).
What does the Alarm option do?
If Alarm is on, Keepsake can schedule a stronger system alarm (on supported iOS versions). If Alarm is off, it uses a normal notification. You can change the default in Settings.
Voice capture isn’t working
Allow Microphone (and Speech Recognition) for Keepsake in iOS Settings
Check you aren’t in Silent restrictions that block the mic
Try typing in the transcript box, then Continue
Make sure you have an internet connection for parsing after Continue
Parsing failed / items look wrong
You can edit titles and times on the Review screen before Save, or edit later from the card. If parsing fails entirely, Keepsake may still save your text as a Memory so you don’t lose it.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Delete individual items in the app, or use Settings → Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also removes local data.
Do I need an account?
No. Keepsake does not require sign-in.
Is my data stored in the cloud?
Your reminders, memories, and routines are stored locally on your iPhone. When you capture, transcript text is sent to Google’s Gemini API to structure reminders. See the privacy policy for details.
The app opened the microphone when I didn’t want it
On a normal launch, Keepsake may open capture once to make starting easy. Opening from a reminder notification should take you to Today or Routines instead.
