The keephifi KZ Taurus is engineered for people who treat their audio experience as a serious hobby rather than just background noise. The design centers around a unique horizontal placement of dual 8mm dynamic drivers. This specific architecture is not just a marketing gimmick; it fundamentally changes how sound waves hit your eardrums, creating a distinct sense of sound localization. For a gamer, this means hearing exactly where an enemy is stepping in a dark corridor. For a musician, it translates to hearing the subtle separation between instruments that other headphones might blur together. The frequency response stretches from 20 Hz up to 40,000 Hz, capturing details that sit well beyond the range of human hearing, which often results in a clearer, more transparent mid-range and treble presentation.
Comfort is a major consideration here, and the data suggests the Taurus was built for extended wear. The enclosure material is polycarbonate, chosen for its durability and lightweight properties. More importantly, the contours of the earpiece are designed to naturally fit the curves of the human ear. This ergonomic shape ensures there is no stress point even after hours of use. Whether you are sitting in a recording studio, commuting on a train, or grinding through a long raid on your console, the in-ear bud design stays secure without the pressure of clamping onto your head. The inclusion of colorful premium silicone ear tips further allows you to find a seal that maximizes the passive noise isolation, though it relies entirely on physical fit rather than electronic intervention.

However, this level of fidelity comes with a significant trade-off: connectivity. The Taurus is strictly a wired device. It utilizes a standard 3.5 mm jack and does not support Bluetooth. You must have a cable connected to your source device at all times. While the cable is detachable and tangle-free, this lack of wireless capability limits its utility for modern mobile setups or situations where you need total freedom of movement. Furthermore, because it lacks active electronics for power, it cannot generate heat or consume battery, but it also cannot offer active noise cancellation. If you plan to use this as a sweatproof headphones for ps5 during intense gaming marathons, the wired nature is perfect for zero-latency performance, provided your controller or adapter supports the 3.5 mm connection. It is a tool for purists who prioritize raw acoustic performance over wireless convenience.
The ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise headphones target a completely different demographic: the user who needs to escape their environment. With a 40-millimeter driver size, these over-ear headphones are built to deliver deep bass and a powerful, immersive soundstage that fills the room. They feature a modern style with a matte black finish and include a carrying case, making them ideal for anyone on the move. The standout feature here is undoubtedly the battery life. With an average playtime of 50 hours, these headphones can last for weeks on a single charge under normal usage conditions. Charging takes just 1.5 hours via USB-C, ensuring you spend more time listening and less time tethered to a wall outlet.
Connectivity is where this model truly shines compared to its wired counterpart. It runs on Bluetooth version 5.3, offering a stable wireless range of up to 10 meters. This allows you to walk around your living room or step outside without losing your signal. The "Hybrid" aspect of the noise control is critical for real-world environments. Unlike simple passive isolation, these headphones actively analyze and cancel out external frequencies. You can switch between ANC-On, ANC-Off, and Transparency mode with a simple button press. This flexibility makes them excellent for blocking out airplane engine noise or office chatter while still allowing you to hear announcements when necessary. The ability to customize the EQ via a dedicated app gives users granular control over their sound signature, tailoring the output to their personal preferences or the specific genre of music they are consuming.
Despite these advantages, the design introduces physical constraints. As over-ear headphones weighing 8.8 ounces, they are significantly heavier than in-ear monitors. They do cover the ears completely, which provides excellent passive isolation but can lead to warmth buildup during long sessions, especially if you are engaging in activities that cause sweating. While they are marketed as suitable for various age groups, including kids and adults, the clamping force and weight might be a factor for those with smaller heads or sensitivity to pressure. Additionally, while the latency is listed at 50 milliseconds—a decent figure for wireless—wired connections generally remain superior for competitive gaming where split-second reaction times are non-negotiable. This product is the definitive choice for someone who wants a sweat-resistant gaming headset for ps5 primarily for relaxation, story-driven games, or music, rather than competitive multiplayer where absolute precision is key.
• Best for Sound Localization and Detail → keephifi KZ Taurus. The horizontal dual 8mm drivers provide a stereo image that over-ear headphones struggle to match in terms of pinpoint accuracy.
• Best for Battery Life → ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise. A 50-hour runtime dwarfs the unlimited-but-wired lifespan of the earbuds, making them ideal for week-long trips.
• Best for Noise Isolation in Loud Environments → ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise. The active hybrid cancellation physically removes low-frequency hums that the passive isolation of the Taurus cannot handle.
• Best for Competitive Gaming (Low Latency) → keephifi KZ Taurus. Wired 3.5 mm connections eliminate any wireless transmission delay, crucial for fast-paced shooters.
• Best for Wireless Freedom → ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise. Bluetooth 5.3 and a 10-meter range allow true mobility that wired cables simply cannot provide.
• Best Value for Travelers → ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise. The included carrying case and foldable design make transport easy, whereas the earbuds require a separate pouch.
• Best for Audiophile Listening → keephifi KZ Taurus. The 40 kHz frequency response captures ultrasonic details that the 20 kHz limit of the ANCAMITA misses.
• Best for Multi-Device Switching → ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise. Bluetooth makes switching between a phone, laptop, and tablet seamless without swapping cables.
In my opinion, the decision really hinges on whether you prioritize technical perfection or lifestyle convenience. If I were setting up a dedicated gaming station for my PS5 and wanted to hear every nuance of the soundtrack and every footstep of an opponent, I would reach for the keephifi KZ Taurus. The sound localization is simply too good to ignore, and the wired connection guarantees zero lag. However, for 90% of daily use cases—commuting, working from home, or casual gaming where I don't want to deal with wires—the ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise is the winner. The 50-hour battery and active noise cancellation transform the listening experience into something far more relaxing and practical. For a sweat resistant gaming headset for ps5, the Taurus holds the edge in pure audio fidelity, but for the best bluetooth wireless headset for ps5, the ANCAMITA offers the versatility most people actually need. Ultimately, I recommend the ANCAMITA for its sheer utility, but I respect the engineering excellence of the KZ Taurus for those who refuse to compromise on sound quality.
While the ANCAMITA headphones are durable, they are over-ear models that may trap heat; the keephifi KZ Taurus earbuds are better suited for light exercise due to their in-ear design, though neither is explicitly rated as IPX waterproof.
No, the Taurus has a sensitivity of 105 dB and an impedance of 36 ohms, meaning they will drive easily from standard devices like smartphones, laptops, or game controllers without needing an external amp.
Yes, the ANCAMita G4 includes a 3.5 mm auxiliary cable, allowing you to bypass Bluetooth and listen in wired mode if the battery dies or you prefer a direct connection.
For competitive gaming where timing matters, the wired keephifi KZ Taurus is superior due to lower latency. For story games or watching media, the ANCAMITA Hybrid Active Noise offers a more immersive, distraction-free experience.
