I was going to write my own review but @kdramaxoxo pretty much hit the nail right on the head. The first 3 episodes were really fun. I loved seeing these actors play off each other. I really hope this exposure is good for both of them and their careers because I would love to see some more lead roles for them in the future. And from that perspective I think the special was worth the watch just for the cast.

However, the ending really was a let down. They kind of pile on trope after trope to tie things up in a neat kdrama bow (complete with the unnecessary time skip, a contrived romantic gesture that too easily mends everything, a back-hug monologue that feels unearned.)
