The Advanced Intelligent Manufacturing Laboratory is a research facility dedicated to the development of next-generation manufacturing technologies through the integration of artificial intelligence, advanced sensing, data analytics, and intelligent process optimization. The laboratory focuses on enhancing manufacturing efficiency, precision, robustness, and sustainability across a wide range of industrial applications.

Intelligent Injection Molding Integrated with Non-Contact Measurement Systems
Advanced intelligent manufacturing emphasizes the fusion of AI, Internet of Things (IoT), multi-sensor systems, and data analytics to enable real-time monitoring, adaptive control, and predictive optimization of manufacturing processes. In this laboratory, we explore intelligent methodologies to improve process stability, reduce material waste, and enhance product quality and manufacturing consistency. Our research in polymer processing focuses on advanced injection molding technologies, including process optimization, multi-quality prediction, and micro-/nano-scale structure fabrication. By combining physics-informed modeling with data-driven learning approaches, we aim to improve process efficiency, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality while reducing trial-and-error dependency in manufacturing operations. The laboratory also places strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and digital image processing, employing machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision techniques for defect detection, quality inspection, and non-contact measurement. These techniques enable intelligent perception and decision-making capabilities that support smart manufacturing systems.
