The Current Residence of the Emperor and his immediate family, including the Princess and the Grand Emperor and Empress Dowager. Houses the Miyanakanoukemochisake Shrine, the current shrine designated for Shinto Ceremonies.

The former residence of the Emperor. Currently occupied by the Imperial Grand Emperor. Formerly, Ihanden Hall served as the residence of the Grand Empress Dowager who passed away in September 2021. Since then, the palace has been locked up.
