To function properly, K-Bot requests only the absolute minimum required permissions:
a) Storage Permission ("storage"):
- Purpose: Used solely to save your local configuration settings (e.g., auto-answer toggle state, preferred delay values, and loaded quiz question keys) inside your browser via chrome.storage.local.
- Data handling: Your preferences remain strictly on your local device and are never transmitted to any external server.
b) Host Permissions ("https://kahoot.it/*"):
- Purpose: Required to inject the content script helper on Kahoot game pages and to fetch public quiz question structures directly from Kahoot's public REST API (https://kahoot.it/rest/kahoots/{id}).
- Data handling: Quiz data requests are made directly from your browser to Kahoot. No intermediate proxy or telemetry servers are involved.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & SITES
K-Bot interacts directly with Kahoot (kahoot.it) to fetch public quiz metadata requested by the user. Your interaction with Kahoot is subject to Kahoot's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
5. SECURITY
Because K-Bot does not collect or transmit any user data externally, there is zero risk of your personal data being leaked or breached through our extension.
