My primary research interests are geometric partial differential equations and (higher) index theory via Lie groupoids. In addition, I am interested in applied machine learning.
My previous academic positions include serving as a research associate at SFB 1085 Higher Invariants and at Department of Mathematics, Universität Regensburg. I am an associated member of the DFG priority program SPP 2026 and a member of the Princeton Research Forum.
In March 2015 I defended my PhD thesis in Mathematics at Leibniz Universität Hannover. Afterwards, I was a Leibniz fellow at the Oberwolfach research institute.
