Antacid Redesign

I took The Futur's Young Guns Pharma Package Design Challenge: redesign a drugstore product package. I chose to re-design Good Sense Antacids. I created packaging for three flavors of antacids and created mockups of each.


My design concept was a modern apothecary. Antacids have a chalk-like texture, and I wanted the colors to imitate that characteristic so, I tinted them to look like chalkboard paint. I used color blocks, rules, and geometric shapes as frames to contain different types of information. I decided not to reinvent the Good Sense wordmark logo so consumers could remain familiar with the brand. Instead, I added a subtle warp arch to the text to sit across the edge of its color block container.
