Working Process
Working Process
The entire process of wood working must be seen from a holistic perspective, starting from wood selection and then moving onto cutting, shaping, ornamental touches, designing and finishes. Wood worker spend considerable time and effort into creating a single product that can become your prized possession, and understanding their process brings newfound appreciation to the craft.
WOOD SELECTION
It is a primary step in wooden crockery production. The selection of the wood depend on the final application on the kind of article it is intend for intense.
WOOD TRANSFORMATION
This is when the tree is and into manageable beams and planks, called lumbar or timber. These pieces are the raw material that get sawn and made into wooden crockery. The timber is kiln-dried, so that the wood achieve it's equillibrium moisture content (EMC) and does not gain or lose moisture because of its environment. At the same time it retains the essential properties of wood. This transformation process is carry out at the Saw Mill, and its entirety can take about 2 to 4 weeks.
WOOD SPLITTING AND CUTTING
The KD wood is then passed to a machine shop, where it is sawed, planed, moulded and grooved as required. The different parts are and out and clamped together and then brought in contact with a high speed rotating knife that shapes each part to its proper size. The pieces are rough carved on high speed blades to be machine sanded and finished by a hand craver later.
WOOD SHAPING AND FINISHING
After timber cutting process KD wood will react as per the article crockery shape so that shaping process can make fast, size and shape of all wood be different for each and every product of our catalogue, wood worker fit that particular wood to machine to make or format to its actual shape, after making a product firstly it inspected by a supervision and move towards finishing or polishing department after long process of hand sanding, finally it get polished with food grade coat and this process inspects twice before packaging.
