2017 was as designated as the Year of the Avant-Garde, celebrating 100 years since the first manifestation of the avant-garde movement in Polish art.

Instead of a catalogue, the aforementioned event was accompanied by the publication of the book. Due to its subject, it was important for the design to refer to Bauhaus aesthetics.
