I'm sorry I didn't vote in the last elections, mixed media, 2017
Voting is difficult if you feel there is no one you could in good conscience vote for. Choosing the lesser evil gets old very quickly but not voting often leads to having regrets over forfeting the right many simply do not have.
In recent years, there was a significant increase in the number of anti-governmental protests in Poland. Shouting and singing in the public that often accompanies such events can be stressful for some people, while standing still may seem somehow inappropriate. Therefore, the need to find some alternative way in which to protest comfortably has occurred.
Created objects were inspired by the Buddhist prayer wheels. One spin of such an instrument equals one prayer it contains. Using this mechanism a silent-protest-tool was brought to life.
Praying wheels were constructed using easily accessible materials such as used pens, screw caps, cello tape, and buttons. Each object contains a prayer referring to my fears and views on current politics both inside and outside the country, such as Just two more years and there will be a new government or Donald Trump will not start the 3rd World War.
