Society5.0とよばれるような大きく変化し先を予測することが難しい時代の中で、私たちは自ら考えて行動し生き抜いていく力が求められています。

　高大連携とは、そういう力を高校生が持てるように大学が高校教育を支援し、大学でもそういう高校生を受け入れて育んでいく，高校と大学の新しい連携のありかたです。

　東京都立大学（旧　首都大学東京） アドミッション・センター 高大連携室では、 本学での研究や教育などの様々な情報を提供するだけではなく、 高校生の大学選び、学部学科選び、大学進学へ向けての心構え、 将来への職業選択、高校での勉強法などもサポートします。

　また、学部の教員の専門分野の講義とは別に、高大連携室では

・大学とは、　自分の好きな分野の勉強や研究を深めることを通して、社会に羽ばたいていく翼を育てていく場所であること、

・高校は　受験のための準備の場所ではなく、高校での勉強、部活や行事で大きな力を育む場所であるということ、

そして

・いずれも　これからの「人生100年」を生き抜くために大切だということ、

を講義を通じて、高校生にお話しています。

Today, we are required to decide on our own how to act in order to survive in the age of “Society 5.0” undergoing a significant change and making it difficult to predict the future.

“What is Society 5.0?"

One definition: "A human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of social problems by a system that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space."

Society 5.0 was proposed in the 5th Science and Technology Basic Plan as a future society that Japan should aspire to. It follows the hunting society (Society 1.0), agricultural society (Society 2.0), industrial society (Society 3.0), and information society (Society 4.0).”

Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology takes the lead in reform of the coordination between high schools and universities, in which high school education helps students to acquire such a surviving power with support from universities and then universities accept and develop those students.

Coordination Unit　between High School and University in Admission Center,　 Tokyo Metropolitan University, not only provide various kinds of information about　research or education at TMU, but also support high school students in　choosing universities, faculties and departments. We also give advice to them on what they should do to be ready to get into universities, what can be a clue to decide a job they will do in the future, and how to have fruitful high school days.

In addition to providing classes in specialized fields given by our faculties, we teach high school students the following through the lectures:

・In university, they can grow up their wings to go out into society through deepening the research or education in their favorite fields.

・In high school, they should develop their power through study, club activities and school events, instead of being absorbed in preparation for the entrance examination for universities.

・All of the above are important in order to survive for 100 years of life.
