Started as a random experimentation on additive manufacturing and in the end, it made some space for savings. While analyzing the form and functioning of penny banks throughout history, we could see their morphology varying with the material and culture. But having features like a slit on the top and an opening to empty the bank at the bottom remain unchanged. The intent was to have an optimized form that has a minimum opening, could hold the coins, and also let them out when shaken gently. The conical form with indentations, to hold the coins intact was chosen and optimized to be ergonomic.
