Welcome!

I am Karan Singhal, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Luxembourg, working on the WELLMOD project (in collaboration with researchers at LSE, PSE and Polish Academy of Sciences)

I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Institute of Socioeconomic Research (LISER) in 2025, and was a SOEP Visiting Young Scholar at DIW (Berlin) in 2024. 

My research interests include development economics, gender and inequality, social protection, labor economics, and education.

Additionally, I'm a consultant with the International Finance Corporation (in the World Bank Group Gender Department). I am also a board member of WES Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to providing education to disadvantaged children in Dhanpuri, central India.
