Kapish Haldia is an accomplished investor and operator based in Venice, California.
Kapish is currently developing an investment platform geared toward family- and founder-owned companies, with a specific focus on the residential and commercial HVAC market.
Before launching his own business, Kapish was part of the founding team at Highview Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity fund focused on the middle market. While he was there, he made substantial contributions to setting the foundational systems and templates, conducting due diligence, and executing acquisitions ranging from $50 - 500M.
Additionally, he was instrumental in the rescue acquisition of Katy Industries, a financially distressed corporation. The acquisition team successfully restructured Katy Industries into American Plastics, one of the largest U.S.-based suppliers of home storage and commercial cleaning products. Kapish also participated in the acquisition of National Fire & Safety, Randall Foods, and Watterson.
While at Highview, Kapish Haldia helped with the acquisition of a number of family- and founder-owned businesses. This role enabled him to work closely with hard-working families. He helped these small-business owners steward their companies under Highview's ownership.
Before his career with Highview, Kapish worked in Citigroup's Global Industrial Group. While at Citigroup, he engaged in high-stakes financial transactions that involved global mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and debt financings for well-known American corporations. His client portfolio included Fortune 100 companies like Lockheed Martin, Crown Packaging, General Electric, and Ball Corp. Through his collaboration with investment banking stalwarts such as Kevin Cox, Scott Baird, and Ben DiFabio, Kapish gained extensive knowledge and insights into the world of high finance.
Kapish graduated from New York University's Stern School of Business, where he started at just 16. His life as a student included much more than just studying and attending classes. He actively participated in several student organizations, including the Stern Investment Analysis Group and the Inter-Club Council. He also interned for several well-respected organizations and companies, including DoSomething.org, Blackrock and Citigroup. These school activities and internships helped him develop critical leadership skills and nurtured his keen interest in business and finance. Also as a student, he enjoyed studying abroad in Florence, Italy. He traveled to more than two dozen countries, which he credits with broadening his horizons and giving him valuable global exposure.
Kapish Haldia embraces a balanced lifestyle. Passionate about health and wellness, he exercises at the Equinox gym in Santa Monica and does breathwork and meditation at Open in Venice.
Kapish loves to read, drawing particular inspiration from famed businessman Charlie Munger. Kapish is also keenly engaged in his local community, music, and culinary activities. Currently, he's working on developing a unique venue in his hometown that reflects both his work and life interests.
