Professor P. Ramachandra Rao was one of the finest metallurgists India has produced over the years. Unfortunately, he passed away on 10th January 2010. Prof. Chattopadhyay had the good fortune of pursuing his doctoral studies under his able tutelage. This page is a tribute to Prof. Rao as we remember him as a fine metallurgist and more importantly a great human being.
