Kamal Ragbotra has over 20 years of experience in apparel design and construction. She has always been interested in garments that have a classic and timeless quality. She also love to up-cycle and redesign. Her skills and experience includes designing, pattern making, fitting, custom dressmaking, fashion illustration, costume designing, and teaching.
She has exceptional pattern making and sewing skills with a heightened attention to details. She has the ability and experience as a designer to construct a variety of garments and costumes, and also to make repairs and alterations.
In addition to designing she has been teaching beginning sewing, introductory and intermediate apparel construction classes, along with pattern reading, fitting and alterations.
Teaching has become an integral part of her life, and she sees herself as a fellow traveler who has a passion not only in teaching but also learning from her students.
As assistant costumer designer she worked with well renowned costume and set designer Sandra Woodall. Some of the eminent theatrical shows include:

Personal Interests: Walking, Tai chi, yoga, learning and exploring, web designing using "Adobe Muse," and primarily designing and sewing.
