WELCOME

The Kentucky Area Astronomical Society (KAAS) will be hosting the Kentucky Area Astronomical Society Meeting on Friday and Saturday, April 14th and 15th, 2023 at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The meeting will have also an online option via Zoom. Every year KAAS invites the astronomical community in Kentucky and the surrounding area to the KAAS Meeting. The conference is a one and a half day science meeting with the purpose of fostering closer ties within the local astronomical community in Kentucky and the adjoining states to support research and teaching endeavors in astronomy.

We solicit 15 minute oral and poster contributions, and we are especially interested in having submissions from students and post-docs. If you would like to contribute a poster or talk, please register at the meeting website. Depending on the number of abstracts, we may invite some posters to be converted to 5 or 10 minute oral presentations, or vice versa. There is no registration fee. The registration for the meeting will start on Wednesday, March 01, 2023. Please register and submit your abstract by Friday, March 31th, 2023. When you register, please make sure to indicate if you are coming in person or if you wish to participate online via Zoom.
